Something broken, confusing, or wrong about a historical event? Email hello@endpaperlabs.com and a human replies within two business days. If you are signed in, the account page has a report form that sends the same thing without leaving the site. Terra Tempus is made by Endpaper Labs LLC.
Contact us
Email hello@endpaperlabs.com. To get a useful answer on the first reply, please include:
- your platform — iOS, Android, or the web version at terratempus.app;
- the email address on your account (or tell us you play as a guest);
- for anything about a purchase, the Apple ID or Google account email you bought with — that is what we can match a subscription against;
- what you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
In the app, Settings → Report a bug sends the same thing and attaches your app version, build number, platform, OS version, and device model for you.
Manage or cancel Terra Tempus Pro
Where you cancel depends on where you bought it.
Bought on this website? Sign in and open your Pro page, then choose Manage subscription and cancel there. It is entirely online — you never have to call or email us. A website subscription does not appear in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, so that is the only place to cancel it. Deleting your account also cancels it, immediately and including any time you have already paid for.
Bought in the app? Cancellation happens in the store — we cannot cancel it for you, and deleting your account does not cancel it either.
- iPhone / iPad: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions (or Settings → your name → Subscriptions on the device).
- Android: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions (or Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions).
Pro starts with a 14-day free trial whichever way you subscribe. You are not charged during the trial; if you cancel before it ends there is no charge at all. In the app the trial is once per store account, and the store tells you at purchase if you have already used it; on this website it is once per Terra Tempus account. Otherwise the trial converts to a paid, auto-renewing subscription — monthly or yearly, whichever you picked — which renews until you cancel. For a store subscription, cancel at least 24 hours before a period ends to stop the next renewal; you keep Pro until the period you have paid for runs out either way. Refunds for a store purchase are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we are happy to tell you which form to use; for a purchase on this website, email us and we will deal with it directly. Full terms: Terms of Service.
Restore a purchase
New phone, or Pro not showing up? Open Settings → Restore purchases in the app. Restore only works while you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase — the store, not us, is what holds the receipt. Sign in to your Terra Tempus account too, so Pro follows you to every device you use.
If Restore reports no purchase and you believe you have one, email hello@endpaperlabs.com with the store email you bought with and we will look it up.
Delete your account
Open Settings → Delete account in the app (guests see Delete guest data). Deletion is immediate and permanent, and it removes your account, your gameplay history, your sessions, and any push tokens. If you play only in the browser or cannot get into the app, email hello@endpaperlabs.com from your account address and we will do it for you. Details of what is removed and what is kept: Account & Data Deletion.
Cancel an active Pro subscription in the App Store or Google Play before deleting — store subscriptions are not ours to cancel and survive account deletion.
Trouble signing in
Forgot your password? Tap Forgot passwordon the app’s sign-in screen. The email links back to this site, where you choose a new password and then sign in again in the app. Reset links are single-use and expire, so request a fresh one if yours has aged. If you only play in the browser, email hello@endpaperlabs.com and we will send you a reset link.
If you first signed up with Continue with Google or Sign in with Apple, keep using that button — that account has no password until you set one, so a reset email will not help.
If you played as a guest and want to keep that progress, use Save your progress in the app before signing in to another account: it upgrades the guest in place, so nothing is lost.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can play as a guest on the phone app and in the browser. Creating an account keeps your progress across devices and puts you on the leaderboards, and upgrading a guest keeps everything you have already played.
Is Terra Tempus free?
Yes. Endless play across all 5 regions and all 6 eras, the Daily Challenge, streaks, the Atlas and Codex, review sessions, Geo Drills, and both leaderboards are free, with no ads. Terra Tempus Pro is optional.
What does Terra Tempus Pro add?
Two things: the themed content modules (the American Revolution, the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, and Japan: The Sengoku Era), and your full statistics — your average miss in kilometers and in years, and how often the answers you marked “sure” were actually right. The American Civil War module is free to play, so you can see what a module is before you decide.
How is a round scored?
Up to 10,000 points a round, split between how close your map pin lands and how close your year is. A round tells you both distances afterwards, and the clue stays on screen with the real place, the real year, and a short explanation.
Do I have to guess the exact year?
Not at first. New players place a decade band on the timeline, and exact-year rounds unlock as your mastery of an era grows. The Daily Challenge and the tutorial always use bands, so a new player is never asked for a single year cold.
How many events are there?
Over 450 are in play today, across 5 world regions and 6 eras, and the library keeps growing. Region and era mastery climbs five tiers, from Novice to Master.
I missed a day — is my streak gone?
Probably not. You earn a streak freeze every five days you play (up to two saved), and one is spent automatically to cover a single missed day. Missing two days in a row resets the streak.
Where does the history come from?
Each event’s coordinates and dates come from Wikidata, which is released under CC0. The clues and the explanations of why a place and a date matter are written by us, grounded on Wikipedia (CC BY-SA). If you spot an error, email hello@endpaperlabs.com with the clue text — corrections are the most useful mail we get.
Can I play without installing anything?
Yes — the browser version at terratempus.app is the same game, no download and no account needed to start.
How do I stop the reminder notifications?
Settings → Notifications in the app, or turn them off for Terra Tempusin your device’s system settings. Reminders are opt-in and are never required to play.
Who can see my name and scores?
Your display name and scores appear on the global and friends leaderboards, which any player — including someone playing as a guest — can see. Change your display name any time at terratempus.app/account, or email us and we will change it for you. Everything else about your account stays private; see the Privacy Policy.
